Arts In School Program

Picture
The Chewelah Arts Guild is excited about its newest program, Arts in Schools (AISP). This program expands Arts experiences in area classrooms during regular school hours. A Registry of vetted local Artist Instructors and their projects allows classroom teachers to choose Arts lessons for their students that fit curriculum, student age level and learning goals.
The program pays Artist Instructors for their classroom time. Assistance is available for supply costs related to the Arts project. Lessons and projects may include watercolor, collage, printmaking, murals, poetry and writing, clay, fiber art, movement and dance, photography, and music-making. Local field trips guided by the Artist Instructor as part of a specific project may also be included in the Arts in Schools Program. Lessons in this program will inspire young art students!

Program Co-Coordinators are Gail Churape: [email protected] and Susanne Griepp: [email protected].
